- What is home staging?
- What's in it for me as a home seller?
And my answers are simple.
Home staging is the process of marketing a home to potential buyers. This means we'll get inside the minds of those that are coming through your home and make them FALL IN LOVE with your nest.
While home buyers are logical and doing their best to make educated decisions, the truth is that people buy homes based mainly on EMOTION. So if they get that warm, fuzzy, "I can see myself settling down here" feeling when they walk into your home, you are already way ahead of the game. And this brings me to the second question...
What's in it for me? MONEY. Depending on the market, not only do staged homes sell for an estimated 6-20% more than unstaged homes, staged homes also spend 73% less time on the market! This could mean no price reductions and more $$ in your pocket. End of story.
As Barbara Cocoran says "Staging used to be an extra, now it's just an essential. Why wouldn't someone stage if they want more money for their house?"
Staging is marketing, and marketing makes money.
